On the trip down there were two cars in tow. As it turned out most of the girls rode in the car (except a few hardy ones). We departed 10 AM and arrived at 7 pm. Tom had a little tummy problem Friday night but was up to meet everyone by the time they got to the lunch at Enrique's cousins place. The trip to Progreso was interesting and later it was discovered if you need any dental care this is the place to go. For people without insurance the price is 1/4 or less that of the US, and the work is first class (just pick the correct dentist). Sunday was a warm day and great for a ride that again was lead by Chapter V. Tom & Dawn broke off early to visit his Cousin Wintering in Pharr TX.. It seems Tom made another mistake and tried to lift his bike on the center stand on Saturday Night and pulled the muscles in his leg. Tom hobbled around on Sunday and Monday. He was a trooper he did dance at the valentine dance with Dawn. Monday and we had to depart. It was a little rainy (not too bad) and by the time we got on the interstate it was sunny and clear, all the way to Austin. This is where Tom experenced another problem. He had some problems with the alternator but was able to get it working well enough to get back to Austin. We had such a great time Enrique found out we could make reservations for next year at $475 for a week stay. Almost everyone went back in the hotel just before departing to Austin to make the reservations for next year for a full week (almost at the same price as the 3 nights we just paid for). If anyone change their mind they just have to cancel 3 days before arriving. What a deal. I guess we will be heading for South Padre next year around the same time.
