Randy sent out a not on Thur (4 Feb) that Dexter and Linda were planning to drop off the personal toiletries Chapter O has collected to the Salvation Army. The Director mentioned they would like to have a group of our bikes for a photo opportunity. A group of 6 bikes showed up. Randy, Kathy, Dexter & Linda, Tom & Dawn, Enrique & Yolanda, and Russ Miller. After we unloaded Dexter’s trailer of around 200 lbs of personal care items we all posed for a photo on the front steps. Just before we left Mr. Raul Munoz (of the Salvation Army) told Dexter what a good looking bike he had and asked Dexter if he had the title to his bike. Most of us immediately knew where this was going. Dexter said sure he had the title. Well the next thing Raul mentioned is he could sign it over to him for a donation if Dexter would like. Dexter straighten up and started to say it was at home and he did not carry it with him. Everyone broke out in laughter. After we finished up everyone looked at each other and mentioned it was not a gathering unless we ate something. Off to Amaya’s Taco Village for a quick breakfast. After breakfast we all had a number of things to do, so everyone went their own way. And Dexter escaped with his bike, and the Salvation Army was really grateful to get the items and we all had a great morning.
